This stretch is specifically designed to release the tension from forward head posture, much like when you are stuck in front of the computer screen for too long and your shoulder muscles get sore and there is a lot of pressure at the base of the skull.

Step 1:
Start standing with your hands clasped behind your back. Try to keep the wrists level. Draw the inner, lower point of your shoulder blades (red dots) down towards your lower back. When done properly the upper traps (shoulder muscles should relax and become soft. (green lines)
Step 2:
Roll your head forward and bend the neck. Then tuck your chin in from the red dot. You should start to feel the muscles at the base of your skull stretch.
Step 3:
This is the tough part. Without untucking your chin, pull you neck and head back up. When done properly the traps are relaxed and the muscles at the base of the skull get a good stretch. Hold for 30 seconds.
